  Includes x86 32 and 64 bit processors, ARM 64 bit processors using x86 emulation including CoPilot+PC devices.
  * Windows 10/11 “S mode” is not a compatible with Oulton College exam software. 
  * Windows 10/11 “SE” is not a compatible with Oulton College exam software. 
  * Windows 10 will reach end of life in October 2025, it is recommended that any new device be equipped with Windows 11.
• Mac: macOS 10.15 to 15.0+.

Memory:

• Windows: 16 GB RAM (A minimum 4gb of available RAM is necessary when using LockDown Browser to take an exam that also uses a webcam.)
• Mac: 16 GB RAM (A minimum 4gb of available RAM is necessary when using LockDown Browser to take an exam that also uses a webcam.)

Hard Disk Space:

  * 512 GB SSD 
  * At least 200 MB of free hard disk space for the Exam software.

Please note:

• Windows offers Oulton Students a free Office license for the period of your study, for Windows computers only (not compatible with Mac (Apple) Chromebooks). This license will be activated during registration.
• Students who choose to use a  Mac (Apple) or Chromebook device may require a specialized Microsoft 365 software license to support their device. This license must be purchased separately and is not included in program fees.
