Program Overview
The Associate Degree in Business Administration (ADBA) at Oulton College is an undergraduate, university-level credential earned after completing 60 credit hours. This program is designed for students who want to gain solid business knowledge while earning a recognized undergraduate credential in less time than a traditional bachelor’s degree.
This 19-month, campus-based program combines academic learning with practical experience through an optional eight-week internship, allowing you to apply what you learn in real workplaces across Canada.
Associate degrees are well-established in the United States and have shown consistent growth and expansion across British Columbia, proving their value for Canadian students seeking flexible and respected academic pathways.
You’ll study key areas such as accounting, economics, management, marketing, human resources, and business communications, supported by electives that broaden your perspective. Courses are built around real-world business challenges, helping you develop critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills that employers value.
Graduates can enter the workforce directly. With a stronger credential than a diploma, ADBA graduates often enjoy broader career opportunities and higher starting salaries.
With the ADBA credential, you can:
- Start your career sooner with a university-level credential recognized across Canada.
- Launch or grow your own business, using the strong foundation in entrepreneurship, marketing, budgeting, and planning.
- Build real-world experience through your program’s work placement and graduate ready to contribute on day one.
- Apply your knowledge across industries, from healthcare to retail, technology, trades, service, non-profit, or government.
- Choose a flexible future, whether you want to enter the workforce immediately, start a company, or pursue advanced study.
At Oulton College, our goal is to prepare you for success; whether that means starting your career quickly or continuing on to advanced studies.
