Our Practical Nurse program provides on-the-job training, which means you’ll learn how to act on the job from actual work experience and because of this, we have some high placement rates after our students graduate.

A practical nurse is a health care professional who works under the supervision nurse practitioner. Practical nurses function as the primary providers of care in hospitals, nursing homes, and other long-term care facilities. They also work in doctors’ offices, schools, home health agencies, and rehabilitation centers.

Through Oulton College’s Practical Nurse program, you will master the most vital concepts of nursing. As you progress through this program, you will have the chance to practice everything you learn in the classroom in our state-of-the-art Nursing lab—equipped with all the tools you need to make you the best nurse possible. You will also participate in up to 15 weeks of clinical and practicum experience in healthcare settings that will help you perfect your skills and boost your resume.

Our Practical Nurse Program is the first private college program in New Brunswick and the only private college in the Maritimes to have full accreditation status awarded by the Association of New Brunswick Licensed Practical Nurses (ANBLPN).
